Greenville Community Garden (Greenville, NC) was founded in 209 Stancill Drive, Greenville, NC 27858 – Our garden was started in spring 2016. We are located near the South Tar River Greenway, which is a high-traffic area on evenings and weekends. and serves The Greenville Community Garden depends on volunteers and donations. Our nonprofit partner and co-managers are Love A Sea Turtle, which is a local nonprofit dedicated to creating a community for environmental sustainability through youth leadership development, service learning, conservation, nutrition education and nature-based outdoor programs, reducing food insecurity, and providing a platform for youth voice. We secure grant funding through Love A Sea Turtle, which has helped us continue to expand every year. In fact, just a couple of years ago we rehabilitated, took over management of, and vastly expanded a Community Orchard just up the street from our garden. Let us know if Small Axe Peppers would like to make a small batch of hot sauce with pears or plums because we get a ton each year! We are a highly diverse organization that is continually looking to expand our network of partners and raise awareness about food insecurity, nutrition, and community resiliency. That is why we would love to partner with Small Axe Peppers!. This garden is a place where people can learn, work, explore, and enjoy the outdoors. It exemplifies community growth and contribution.
