Bill Brewer Family Gardens
Our Mission
Our mission is to teach families to steward our earth through experiences, classes and events which promote sustainable lifestyles and enhance the native habitat of our community. The community garden is a Community Project of the Unitarian Universalist Church of Fort Myers open to all in our community.

Our 67-bed community garden provides a living laboratory for
environmental stewardship and sustainable living in a welcoming
gardening experience, open to all in the community. With the help of
local master gardeners and volunteers, last year we grew and delivered
5 bushels of kale, 11 lbs of eggplants, 6 lbs. of cauliflower, 18 bunches of
collards, 18 bunches of collards, and tomatoes to the South Fort Myers
Food Pantry which distributed 265,000 pounds of food in the first half of 2020 (see www.sfmfoodpantry.com). In addition, our community gardeners learn
how to grow vegetables in SW Florida using environment-friendly
techniques. The local scout troop and local homeschoolers also
enjoy complimentary garden beds for educational purposes.
