A St. Patty’s Day Cocktail with a Punch
St. Patty's Bronx Hot Sauce

This Sunday, March 17th, we’ll all come together to drink some pints and celebrate one of the most sacred days of the year. Yes, we’re talking about St. Patrick’s Day. As we take to the streets on this sanctimonious day, drinking pint after pint in our tweed caps, we are all a bit Irish. So, what better way to commemorate the foremost Patron Saint of Ireland than a nice whiskey-based cocktail — Small Axe style. Which means.. you guessed right.. it’s coming with a ‘lil punch!

See below our recipe for “The Bone”, a spicy Brooklyn-originated cocktail adapted by David Wondrich, cocktail historian and writer extraordinaire. The drink, which was originally named after The Chickenbone Cafe in Williamsburg, will be perfect before your next round of Guinness! As they say in Ireland, sláinte!

Instructions

  1. Fill a cocktail shaker with ice. Add the remaining ingredients and stir well. Wondrich says to strain into a tall shot glass, but its St. Patrick’s Day so who cares?
